Grandson has committed now I have to hold up my end of the bargain. Need a starter O/U 12 gauge suitable for the hunter education program. Needs to be 'moderately' priced. Any suggestions?
CZ
Yildiz
Used 1100
Used Browning, mossberg, or ruger red label if you find a screaming deal.
@Bailey Boat got any leads?
FWIW, he does not need 2 shots for the tournament unless he breaks 20 and goes to tie break. Tie break is doubles.

Attached are the 2019/20 rules.
Looks like a fixed IC/M would work.
I already have a CZ452 for the 22 comp.
Needing a bow also now. Looking for a decent bow with 35-55# draw weight.................... Blade runners and Drop Tine don't have anything they have both been cleaned out of these bows for the Hunter Ed stuff. He can't hold the let off on my bows and I don't want to screw with them. Never ends.
This^ Get the cheap GI web sling and teach him how to use the loop and hasty sling holds. Or just get him to an Appleseeds.Get him a sling and scope for that 22 and teach him to use the sling. My daughter was the best shooter on her team, the second best shooter was another girl I made a sling for. They help a lot.
I've got to get a bow for my oldest who plans to shoot with the high school team this year. We just shot 4-H and he did fair.
He has claimed my Browning Gold as his shotgun. My youngest shot my Rem 1100 LT-20 during 4-H and the gun isn't the issue.
Local high school shoots in-line trap? where as 16 yard trap at state. is that correct?
Got him a used PSE Rally, nice little bow with simple adjustments. His arms are long and the draw length is maxed out just at the right length. Will shoot arrows right out of the box. Worked with him last weekend on technique, he picked it up dang quick. Only problem now is to make him quit when he gets tired so he won't pick up bad habits. I cranked it down as far as it will go and will increase poundage when he doesn't know I've done it. I'm not a fan of whisker biscuits but it will do for now.
Have to change the scope out on the CZ, can't be above 9x. I need to get whatever ammo they plan on using even though the lot numbers won't match. I zero'd it off 7 different brands and it did fine but it lasered in on old Win SuperX and of course I have less than a brick left of that lot number. Luckily it didn't like the higher dollar stuff like my 40x's do.
Decided against the O/U. As mentioned above the lower end stuff ain't gonna cut it. Gonna do some trading for an 1100 12 ga.
Thanks for all your input. I just hope he sticks with it.
