Shots Fired Over Ford vs Chevy at Easter Dinner

I've seen people get really overheated in these arguments.

Years ago one of my buddies had a 66 fastback Mustang GT350 clone. Ford guys loved the car till they found out it had a Chevy 383ci and a Doug Nash 5 speed. This car was highly modified on the underbody. He loved building things that no one else had. This car caused more than a few arguments.

Hands down the fastest Mustang of this year model I've ever seen.
Cross-pollinating makes is an unforgivable sin. I don’t care who you are.

The only acceptable cross is putting a Ford 9” rear in anything (including an Abrams tank) because that thing is from alien technology, not a specific make.

Shooter had to own a Ford. Chevy owners don’t have guns. They carry mace and a whistle for protection. Mainly the men. Even a lesbian will not get in a Chevy. Not manly enough.

I'm sure this isn't the first time.

I sold Ford Trucks for many years. In a community that used them hard. Farmers, tradesmen, etc.

It was usually easy to close the Ford deal when they were comparing to Shivvy. Just agree wholeheartedly that the 350 is an awesome engine, in cars and cowboy Cadillacs. Then educate them on why it is a stupid engine in a truck that you expect to actually work hard.

The diehard Ford guys were price shoppers, so we had to cut slim deals, but volume more than made up for it. And the trades could be easily resold at a decent profit.

The Mopar types were...well...Mopar types. o_O

Now the real deal. They all break. I had the opportunity to visit many dealerships over the years and they were all busy in the back. Spec it right for the job and you'll be OK. Usually.
