im looking at purchasing a sig mpx. I don’t know a lot about this. Any feedback would be great. The main reason I want it is I think the government will outlaw this sooner rather than later. It also pisses off my hippie sister and her husband every time I purchase a new gun.

I own a Gen2 and run a YHM Sidewinder on it. I have never gotten blowback in my face. I don’t care for the trigger pull weight, but it breaks clean. I have run both a 8” and 4.5” barrel on mine. I swapped to the 4.5” after buying the suppressor. Neither offer an issue. I have owned the Kriss Vector in 9mm and the CZ Scorpion. There is a reason I kept this. It is soft shooting, suppresses well, and accurate as the devil.

What is the trigger pull weight on the mpx

They claim between 5-6lbs. It feels heavy but breaks good. Geissele makes a trigger specifically for the MPX. I will have one soon..

Here is a look at it without the can.

No.
Geissele does not make a trigger specifically for the MPX.
Geissele does make one specifically for the MCX.
They have been promising a trigger for the MPX for a while.
A bunch of people were using the Geissele Super Dynamic, and when it would basically self destruct, turning it in for a warranty repair.
Geissele no longer honors this if you used it in an MPX.

The MPX has a weird box type thing around the trigger components.

GOOD NEWS:
Timney DOES make a trigger specifically for the MPX.
It is available with a flat or curved rigger bow.
It is absolutely worth the price.
Install was super easy, just make sure the box is facing the correct way.

Sorry about that. I stand corrected, it is Timney. The trigger bridge has to be on whatever trigger goes in it. I have seen a buddy’s trigger self destruct. It was a ALG trigger. They replaced it but informed him they would not again. Thanks Spartan. I knew one of the companies made one for the MCX and one made one for the MPX. My bad on that.

Do you have another 9mm carbine to compare it against? I never buy anything thinking they're gonna ban it before I have extensive experience with it. Because you can end up with a turd, like the Tec 9

Ikarus is right. Not everyone likes a 9mm Carbine. I honestly went through a few before I decided on keeping the MPX. If I had not found the Sig 4.5” barrel and handguard I cannot say I would have kept it.

All good bro.
I am a HUGE Geissele fanboy.
Honestly, I’m kinda disappointed they let Timney beat them to the punch...

Best price I have found for the Timney is on Ranier Arms, with the Mil/LEO discount program.
