At the price point of this one, it seems like it might be better to save up a little more coin and get into Staccato territory...thoughts? Or is the X5 226 worth the purchase on its own?

Worth it would depend on you and what you expected out of it. The German CS X5's were a work of art. IDK about these new releases the Sig is putting out now. I am not a big fan of Staccato and for that kind of money I would be looking at the MPA.

My LGS got 2 in, one with brown grips, one with black. I’m no expert, but they sure look and feel nice. Nicer than anything I have. Tempted to put one on layaway to lessen the sting…
