I've tried LPVO.
I've tried PA GLx 2x Prism.
I've gone back and forth on the 1.5x16 ACOG - just don't know how I feel about the tritium thing.

I was about to give up and just pickup a T2 and try the HM3X magnifier when I started reading more positive things about the Sig Romeo 4XT Pro. - I like the AAA battery thing; never bought the CompM5s because of reports of battery housing snapping off. I've never really trusted Sig optics, they mostly appear to be budget focused options...is this an outlier?

This is going on a 16" so I'm looking for the option to have some magnification from either a prism or magnifier.

I don't have any experience with either of the above, but the aimpoint is a proven rock solid option.
I have a 16" with an ACOG 4x32, a 14.5" with an Eotech w/ 5x magnifier, and a 16" with LPVO.
My .02, If I had to pick one up and walk out the door, It would probably be the Eotech w/magnifier. Quick engagements 50m and in and the ability to stretch out if needed.

The 4xt is American made unlike the cheaper Chinese options.

Not sure if you have seen this, but they do reference the T2 in comparison vs Romeo 4XT Pro.

Specs seem pretty damn close to the T2. At a few hundred bucks cheaper. However I, also, don’t trust Sig optics.

Could be this one is different 🤷🏻‍♂️

And I came across the words "assembled in the United States"
Depending on the state it’s made in (Oregon comes to mind), they are super restrictive about what can say “made in the USA”. It can mean that none of the components can be outsourced, including electronic components, glass, etc. that literally every other “made in America” optic would fail.

I may end up being the CFF gopher for this thing. I'm intrigued. The 4T Pro is about $50 cheaper and takes the 2032 bats I have stashed already. Not sure if I want the 4XT Pro (AAA bat) version as I'd need to get lithium batteries specifically for it, plus the visual occlusion.

I'll prob get the HM3X magnifier to try with it. Never had a magnifier and I've read it has some of the best eye relief.

Eurooptic has some blemished Holosun HE515s, I’d prob give one of those a shot. Seem pretty similar to the Sig optic you’re looking at.

I definitely don't need one of those, but you're about to make me buy one just to have on hand...

Solid deal, but I was oh so excited for some of that quad reticle drip, and I've read it's of the most crispesteses of all dots.

I still can't decide on a magnifier though. Came down to:

HM3X
3X-C
G45

Ive beat the crap out of a couple of 4Ts for a few years now. Pairs well with the 3X-C. I managed to rip the button rubber off the side of the optic and sig sent me a brand new replacement within 5 days.

Not sure what the 4T pro offers that the 4T doesn't other than a special NV button? The multi reticle is nice. 4 dots ftw. Great little optic.

New lens coating (DARC).

The 3X-C looks like a good option but I'm a little concerned with the eye relief. I know all magnifiers aren't great, but I've read that one was pretty bad. I haven't ever gotten my hands on one.

that's a nice upgrade then. the 4T is a little more blue than i'd prefer. similar to a T1.

the eye relief on the 3X-C isnt great but isnt terrible either. Really boils down to preference. Its not acog bad. the versatility of the red dot + the magnifier makes the eye relief trade off worth it, imo.

Any experience with the Eotech G45?

ive looked through one in a cursory manner but didnt shoot with it or get in awkward positions. i recall thinking they were similar enough that it would be a "pick one and go with it." i bought the aimpoint initially because i was pairing it with a T2. I dont think youll be disappointed with any of the magnifiers you listed, with the 3X-C and G45 being tied for first place.

Been looking for a 4t pro with no luck. Much prefer the cr2023 battery option. As far as the G45 magnifier goes its crisp. I sold off my 3x-c's and have 2 now. Plus the extra 2x is a grat bonus. The flip to side mount kinda sucks because it throws it so far over an hangs so far out. That being said Scalarworks said they're coming out with a mount for the G43 and G45.
Larue has a nice mount too but it requires you to pull back and flip. Rather annoying the extra step but it doesn't hang out as far

I'll add in that I've been using a Vortex Micro 3x for some time now and really enjoy it. The glass clarity is obviously better on the G45, but the real important part of image quality has less to do with the magnifier and more to do with what your magnifiying in my opinion.

An eotech in front of any magnifier is going to look a let better than a better magnifier behind a holosun, system is only as strong as its weakest link kind of situation.

@beeleafs has a ton of time on a g45. What say you?
They eye relief is not great. But I really like the 5x magnification. For me, it's worth the trade off for positive ID and target acquisition beyond 200 yds.

Black is OOS but they have the FDE here: https://www.primaryarms.com/sig-sauer-romeo-4t-pro-red-dot-sight-quad-reticle-fde

Did anyone ever get one of these?

This is what I've requested my family come together on for my "one big gift" for Christmas. So hopefully I'll have a good review after the New Year. Very helpful, I know. :D
