I just got a couple of glocks and want to change the sights and I thought I'd give it a try myself. Can anyone recommend one thats not real expensive? I've been looking at one on amazon for $40 (pridefend sight pusher)

Is there one thats "better" under $100?? Any things I need to look out for when changing them out? I was going to go with the Ameriglo Hackathorns. Thanks for any help!

Most of my Glocks wear Dawson sights and I've always just used the aluminum punch that they provide with the sights. I've never had a problem getting a perfect zero with that method.

I know some people are a little hesitant to use a punch when there's a tritium vial installed in the site. I'm not.

If you are though I'm sure there's somebody close by that has a pusher you could use.

The back sights I want are blacked out so it's mostly just the front sight. I just want to do it right the first time and not fudge it up. I was talking to someone today and it was $40 or so just to put some some on, and if I buy that pusher from amazon, it will have paid for itself after 1. I guess I'm cheap haha

Front sights on Glocks unscrew. Can’t use a pusher on them if you wanted to.

Sometimes I use a coal chisel and a 2lb mini sledge!

If the OP were close by, I would just say, swing by and we’ll swap them out. It takes no time.

My OCD requires that there be zero evidence that the have sights been replaced. Over the years, I have used a few different universal sight fixtures, I have machined my own tooling and I have used the hammer and punch method too. The best solution for me has been the MGW sight pushers. They do get pricey, as they are firearm specific, but they will pay for themselves in short order. I have been using them for years and they have served me well.

funny you mention the MGW one. I was just watching a youtube video and the guy was very impressed with it

I agree the MGW is quality. If you aren’t planning on changing sights ever again spend the 40 bucks. You’ll have less worry. If you are going to use the tool several more times, you’ll never be disappointed buying a quality tool.

I bought this kit a long time again and it's been great... Lots of sights have gone on glocks at my house.

Amazon product ASIN B07ZHV9HBW
I have the same sight pusher in a different name, same multi-tool too. Don't have the full kit though. They work ok. The pusher seems a little awkward sometimes with all the adjustments, but mounting it would help. And I might modify the pusher block a little, but for the price, it works for me. :)

I have the tools to change those sights if you want. I only ask 10 bucks. I only charge at all because I habe almost 400 in my sight tools.
