SketchUp Alternatives

My computer wont install SU, and Im not smart enough to know why. Are there any decent alternatives that anyone uses to come up with stage designs?

I like sketch up now that I have played around with for awhile.

I have a power point presentation that has everything on it that I can change/edit as needed. I just save a new copy for each match then modify it.

Powerpoint actually seems like a decent option, and I probably wouldn't have considered it.

I use Visio 2003. Same concept as using power point, but it does have grid lines so you can keep things to scale.
