Got a great deal on a 20 ga Savage 220 slug gun so I decided to move on from the single shot. For years I used an 20 ga H&R Ultra Slug Hunter. The H&R was good looking and was accurate with the heavy bull barrel. The Savage is lighter, better balanced, has an adjustable trigger, and a better recoil pad. Here's the new to me and the one that I sold. Like to hear about and see what y'all shoot.

I have the 12ga versions of both of those. Both are excellent guns and shoot well. Thinking about moving to the 20ga. No need to rattle teeth, when the 20g’s with todays slugs will certainly get the job done within the general hunting environments / distances I shoot in NC.

Yeah they do rock you, I gave up on the 12 ga awhile ago. Took a 12 ga rifled Remington 1187 out to shoot back to back with the H&R. Recoil was much less with the 20 ga.
