I’m looking at the OVOU smart business card. Everywhere I go someone ask me for a card and they are in the trucks. Add that many people just throw it in a drawer never to be found. Is there one better that needs no app? Making a decision this week.

Not exactly the same but If you use outlook for mail you can set up yourself as one of your contacts then when people ask just send your vcard that has all your contact info or do same with your cell phone by just sharing your contact info with a texted to the person

I’ve been looking at doing a “Retired“ business card for a while now. I only seem to think of it when I actually need one of them! 😁

Maybe you should get wear one of those Cintas uniforms with the compny name “Retired”. They say if you see it enough it gets programmed in. Wear it all family gatherings.

Not only do I do the above, but I normally just take a pic of a business card I am offered and put it in a file on my phone.

I like the QR code idea. And just created a contact on the phone for the business so I can share that.

VCards are annoying. They clutter up your inbox with emails that look like they have an attachment. False positives when you’re searching for a specific email that had an attachment. Ultimate letdown when you realize your search has been thwarted by someone with a vCard!

That may be true , but then again it only takes one.

I have a friend who makes aluminum boat tops. He had business cards printed and passed them out. One he gave to somebody ended up being used to write something on the back to be given to someone else. Guy that received the card just happened to flip it over and read the front side. Because of that card my friend got the job of building a boat top for the guy. That many times over paid for the price of the cards with just one.

I only send them to people that request my contact info for one. Two if I get one and want the contact save to my contacts then it is deleted problem solved. If its a mass spam with contact info your probably already in the spam folder 😂

"Give me your business card," is politely saying they will never call you and don't want to give you their number because they don't want to talk to you, second only to the check is in the mail.

I've had much more success by being "all out of cards at the moment but let me get your number and I'll follow up with you." It really sorts out those who are open to further conversation, those who are not open, and worse, those who are only kicking tires.
