Out coffee table does what you’re talking about. We don’t use it. It was near and gimmicky when we bought it, but I could tell you what’s in the little compartment now.

It's not a coffee or end table really, but I repurposed an old Singer sewing machine stand and piece of 2 1/2 rough sawn. Gave it to my Mom for Christmas last year.
