Sordin Supreme Pro X vs Peltor Tac 500 ?

Debating between these two options. There is quite a large price gap between the Peltor ($150) vs Sordin ($260) - is that cost justified with the Sordins?

I wear glasses while shooting, and I've always doubled up with foamies in the past, so I've always just used passive muffs. Looking to get away from that if I can.

i have the 500s. i don't use many of the features...
they're good though. no complaints.

I've heard stories of the Sordins not having particularly durable electronics. I've heard stories about the Peltor set not having durable plastics.
I continue to use my older set of Peltor Tactical Pro that's been with me for 9 years now. It's done training in the rain, snow, hot and cold and never gave me a single problem. I often consider getting a newer set, but don't want to to spend on something that may not be as good as my old set. My wishlist item is a set that has a behind the head band so I can use a boonie hat to protect my ears from the sun.

OP...consider reading reviews on Amazon for each set you are considering

I got some surplus sordins a few years back and honestly have no idea what model they're equivalent to but I've been very happy with them. The big thing i wouldn't have bought but now won't go with out is the gell cups. The gell cups are worth whatever they cost. They live in my truck or trunk most of the time and the heat hasn't fried them.

I picked up some sordins to replace my ancient pro-ears gold. I did some side-by-side with the sordins vs. the.... now I can't remember but it's the other popular set that's about $500. There are differences between them but it's hard to say which is better. Price was no object, but I stuck with the sordins vs. returning them (amazon so it would have been trivial) and getting the others.

That's probably not helpful but ear pro is important to me and I'll never go back to a cheap set again.
