So you noticed the books in the Falcon too? Nice touch. My guess is Yoda knew and blew up the tree to keep Luke from finding out.
As to the Snoke scene, it was anti climatic but kind of perfect in how it was done. Force pushing a litesaber button during a fight has been a source of much arguing and discussion. They finally worked it into the movie. I think they have used it in the cartoons already.
It had some of the feel of The Avatar cartoon series in that aspect. Star Wars has always had a comedy undertone. Han played it up well. I didn't mind it. But it did feel like the Cabbage Vendor in Avatar after the second one.
