What are y'all using for tripods?

Have a Vortex Viper HD 15-45X65 that I'd like to put on a tripod. Right now it would be confined to backyard usage and occasional trips to the range.

Ideally I'd like one that could be used off a bench as well as from a standing position.

Not looking to break the bank here before the Manfrotto crowd shows up.... I'm looking sub $250 range here.

As a long standing supporting vendor on this forum it would be our pleasure to discuss options and special opportunities with you.

Slik Pro 824 CF Tripod BLOWOUT...Legs, Kits..SAVE!!!

We have purchased all the inventory of this great tripod Slik had in stock. We have the legs and 2 kits on our website HEAVILY discounted and then you'll get another 10% off with the promo code slik21

The Pro 824 CF is a carbon fiber tripod that goes up to 64", folds down to 18.8" and weighs 3.4 Lbs (legs) and can support 18 Lbs. If you are using a powerful spotter or binocular this is the tripod you need. It will absorb most of the vibration on windy days and with the geared head kit, the best setup for target shooting. They include a 3 year Slik warranty as does the Slik SVH-501 in the video kit

All Sirui, Promaster & Peak Design Tripods are 15% off when you checkout with Promo Code TS21

I use a spotting scope stand from First Strike Products, but I believe they don’t make them any longer.

Here’s another affordable suggestion. Useful for all position shooting and can fit on a bench top too

I called @gr8fuldoug ’s shop when I got mine. They asked questions I never even considered and hooked me up with a Siriu that has been perfect.

I’ve used the same tripod for spotting scopes, chronographs and cameras. It is one designed for use in high-power rifle matches at Camp Perry. I have used the same tripod for rifle and pistol matches for 20+ years. Simple, rugged and relatively light, it is made by fellow shooter Doug Giraud. GiraudTool.com has pics and info. Doug also makes a reloader’s dream case trimmer. He is a Master Class Rifle and Pistol competitor, and a superb machinist. Camp Perry shooters use his gear because it is quality that works, lasts even under harsh use, and it doesn’t cost a fortune.
The only part I have ever managed to break, was a spring that keeps tension on the folding legs when they are extended. Called Doug, and received a package of three new springs two days later, no charge.
The website has pics and costs.

Disclaimer - I have $$$ photo tripod and a highPower match style post stand as well.
But for the bench the most stable rest there is . . . Plain old sandbags. Takes a bit to wiggle on center but perfectly steady. I use my Caldwell tack drive V bag and it's ideal.

You use that for your spotting scope?
