Picked up a used EMP in 9mm, looks brand new. Ran some factory 9mm though it, did good but felt the slide was dragging towards the rear. I had a case get stuck in it, had to put a brass rod in there and article it with a hammer to get the slide unlocked. After I had it apart I had some brass that would fall in and some didn’t and it all went into my Dillon case gage.

Yesterday I went down to see Jeff Abernathy from Tommy Guns USA. He reamed out the chamber for me he said some run tight. After that the cases just dropped in. He also adjusted the trigger and springs no more drag. Also I noticed absolutely no crown on the end of that bull barrel. So he put one on.

Just writing this in case someone else has one that don’t feel right or cases stick.

Years ago I had one of these in 40s&w and it locked up on me after firing. Sent it into Springfield for warranty repair at no cost to me and promptly sold it on its return.

I have an EMP4 Lightweight Champion, one of my favorite pistols. I had Robar make the SS slide black to match the frame (back when one still could, they don’t do it any more). Sort of a 95% scale 1911. It would be among the last I’d part with.

That’s what mine it. I kept my slide stainless. It’s one of those guns that just feels right in the hand.

I got one of the originals (3") in 9mm for a steal ($750) from a dealer at a gun show maybe 15 years ago when they were still pretty new and have carried it daily most of the time since. Runs great.

I just picked up an EMP 3" a couple of weeks ago. I have not had it out yet, but it sure feels good in the hand.

I got a used one when Gander Mountain was going under for $650 I believe.

I've had a 4" CCC, a 4" lightweight (both gone), and now have a 3" Ronin. They have all run 100% based on my recollection.

Still have my EMP4CC. Great shooting gun with 135gr handloads. I believe a lot of parts are proprietary or should I say non standard 1911.
