I gave up at episode 0. That's right, didn't even try to watch Picard. I think I watched one episode of discovery. It was painful. Star trek has become too weird for me. I used to be a big fan. I watched most of the original series, every Next Generation episode, every Voyager episode, some of Deep Space Nine, and every Enterprise episode. The JJ Abrams movies kinda turned me off. They aren't terrible movies, if you want just a mildly entertaining action movie. The problem is that that's all they are. They are mediocre while taking a crap on Star Trek. They are just trying sooooo hard to be cool. Anything intellectual had been stripped away. The story takes backstage to the special effects. Let's just throw in Spock passionately kissing Ohura for shock factor. What? Don't think that makes sense for Spock's character? You are just a racist anti-interspecies-love bigot! I've come to the conclusion that all good things must come to an end. Star Trek has run it's course. Let's just let it die with dignity. Rant over.
