I don’t play video games much, but I love the Fallout series. The creators of Fallout 4 now have Starfield. Pretty much Fallout 4 gameplay in space. They made Outerworlds last year which was OK.

Just getting started now, suppose to be a huge universe with people able to add their own worlds. With how much I love playing Fallout 4 I have high hopes for this and replay ability.

Reviews sound like it's an okay game. Bunch of planets are AI generated and fairly empty the reviews from early access sound like a mixed bag so far.

It'll be on game pass though! So cheap to try before you buy lol

I anticipate it will get better over time, Bethesda did a great job with content updates for Fallout 76 and legitimately saved that game. I'd be willing to bet they will listen to their player base again and make the game better over time.

Additionally, I was one of the day 1'ers for No Man's Sky and I was pretty disappointed by the near scam that was launched. Sure enough, it got way better with updates, and I'm still playing it to this day.

I'll give Starfield a go once it's been out for a bit.

I'm very interested especially as it's free on game pass but I live space journey, loot and grind games as well. But I'm really looking forward to the potential the modding will give to the game. I want to smuggle contraband in the millennium falcon or go on raids with a tie fighter lol

I'll be sticking to Fallout: New Vegas.

Yea I won't invest any money on it until it's run through some updates to fix any issues and iron it all out. I learned my lesson after cyberpunk
Talking of the new update for Cp2077 sounds intriguing.

I always find this fascinating, I was day 1 with cyberpunk, pre-installed waiting for Microsoft to remove the wall to begin playing at launch.

On an Xbox One X, I only experienced maybe x2 crashes before the first update. While I had friends who couldn't make it 10mins without a crash.

Plenty of bugs and glitches, but honestly that's part of the charm with an alpha or day 1 patch for me lol.

I was there in the beginning with Playstation and I was a Sony guy through and through until they gave us that easy bake oven they called the PS3 and it cost me all of the money I saved all summer to buy it only for it to melt the side of my brand new 40 inch and broke down from over heating. I was done after that.

140 GB of storage on Xbox means moving some stuff to the external drive in order to try it out. So I don’t think I’ll be a day 1 participant.

I am a bit concerned with how many loading screens and menus stuff like fast travel are supposed to involve, but I'll reserve judgement until the 6th when it hits gamepass.
i keep wanting to pre-install games.... but even my installed games routinely need 150GB patches

maybe this will encurage me to "finish" this F4 playthrough. I still gotta get RDR2 installed and played tho

I liked the outer worlds, that was made by obsidian though, not Bethesda. Bethesda just hasn’t been the same for me since the Skyrim era. I wasn’t a fan of fallout 4 but I’m really hoping I like starfield. $10 for a month of it seems like a good enough investment for me.

Fortunately (?) I delete most games pretty fast these days and just keep rotating between FO4 (I mostly base build and tinker with mods), Dayz (I appear, I starve, I die) and a couple of "build a thing" games. Oh and Cp2077 now they finished it but I put it aside until the new update arrives. I never could get into RDR2, not sure why.

Living under the crown robbed you of the opportunity to pretend to be a cowboy as a kid, so you wouldn't get it.
No, I loved Red Dead Revolver and Red Dead Redemption and Tombstone is one of my favourite movies. I think with 2, there's just too much twiddle added onto the actual game for me.

Honestly, the only sin that rdr2 and Rockstar is guilty of here, is denying us an Undead Nightmare 2 content pack. I would pay cold hard cash for a stand-alone disk/file of it, just like I did for rdr1.

Otherwise, in my opinion, it's the closest thing we have to stimulating my orginal LARP subject matter.

Plus I'm a walking simulator fan, nothing more relaxing than a steady stride through a well thought out environment with random encounters.

I need suggestions for good PS5 games-
I’ve beaten GOW Ragnarok.
I got bored with Ghost of Tsushima
Cyberpunk really ticked me off as it’s so glitchy and they won’t fix it
Cyberpunk is getting a big update and revamp of the game it might be worth trying again if you haven't played it in over a year. There have been a lot of bug fixes lately.

I need suggestions for good PS5 games-
Death Stranding, I will say that game is not for everyone. But it's an incredible experience.

Resident Evil: Biohazard and Village are great,
Dead Space and The Callisto Protocol were really good also

+1 to @Squanchy I bought it again as a PS5 copy for the optimization and it runs near flawlessly.

Plan was to find a cheap ps4 to play DS when the 5 came out, but apparently being last gen doubles the price of used hardware or something because they're priced to the moon.

Honestly, wish you were closer because I'd loan you my ps4 and copy so you can play it.

If you have a PC that's up to scratch, it is avaliable on Steam as well.

No real pc, just the Xbox. I needed a new pc about the time graphics cards got priced like fighter jets lol

So, what're yalls pronouns?
His Imperial Majesty, Scourge of the Spaceways, Beginner and Ender of All Things, Most Truculent of the Gods and Humanity's Highest Ascendant.

And if you miss any tiny part of that and don't use it every time it's a hate crime.

Oh, in the game? He/Him.

I need some Starfield help.

I started playing it on Xbox Cloud Gaming earlier this week and so far, I did the intro walkthrough where I had to mine that pc of whatever while following my mining team leader around. Then, I went to the surface where some other ship of bandits came in and I have to fight them off. I died doing that so I turned it off.

Am I playing the same game you all are talking about?

Sounds like it.

Wait until you try and build a ship and the ladders and doors just put themselves wherever they want unless you make sure only one part of any living space touches one and only one other living space lol
