Do you see this thing right here? This thing is a tank! Israeli police and what not had to carry the weight but I don't think they were worse off for it. You could literally carry it, a corgi, and some weird red headed kid while running down an alley and feel good about it.
This is a Jericho, and it's a pistol I today realized that I should have owned decades ago.

This guy is not super compact, I wouldn't even call it compact. It doesn't take optics and it has rudimentary sights. It weighs almost double what a P247365 does, and it feels like it.
But by Moses, it shoots like a gazelle or a young stag skipping upon the heights.
You know that one pistol, the one you picked up for the first time and immediately knew you loved? The one that felt natural in your hand and had you ringing steel from the very first shot? I have never known that. I have had to practice, I have had to adjust my grip. I have had to get used to trigger pulls.
But not today. I loaded up a Jericho mag, three CZ75 mags, and I started blasting.

350 rounds later, I knew it had been waiting for me, as if it had known we would one day be together. We were meant.
Dark it is, yet lovely, dark like the tents of Kedar, with just a little rust bluing where it has been handled. Sleek with flat milling on the slide and a generous slide release lever. Grips that have been worn almost smooth but that still retain a grip.
Built before a time when you needed front serrations just in case WROL SHTF. A time before man believed radioactive zombies would dismember him if he didn't have a forward gripping surface. A time before men believed that they could shoot faster by placing a big fragile Chinese LED on a slide they took a dremel to. A time before plastic made men weak and brittle and zealous for small, flippy pocket dongles in silly calibers like .....*dry heave*...... 380.
No gentlemen, that life is not for me. I have ascended. I'm going to carry the weight. I am retiring the P10C which I put in my waistband, which I tolerated, but never loved. I am finding a holster, and from now on, my walls shall be tall and strong. Cubits upon cubits they shall be, and none shall take Canaan from me. For today, I embrace Jericho.

Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

I'm going to carry the weight.
I remember those days ... I hope your situation remains the same for a good long time. I, on the other hand, have finally and fully embraced the suck, and continue to scale down.

Those are nice guns. Definitely nicer than most plastic crap.
Basically a quality good CZ copy. Actually, maybe a copy of a Tanfo which is a copy of CZ, lol.

I like this better than my PCR and full size 75. If anyone can weigh in on the Tangfolios- do they have any steel on steel pistols like this that are just a pleasure to shoot?

IMO, all the tanfo pistols are nice, and some are excellent-amazing.

But the basic TA-90 is awesome and they can be found pretty cheap. There are various variants, like the Jericho has.
If you behold a Tanfo with a thumb safety it will feel very much like that one and I'm sure you'l like it. They're quality Italian guns.
They also make really nice competition guns.

Unlike my preference in women, I love my guns big & heavy.
Welcome to the club! I felt much the same the first time I handled and shot my first steel frame CZ.

There is always a pro and con to everything.

Lose weight on a gun and your felt recoil goes up. Add weight to a gun and your draw time suffers as well as your back from carrying it.

Go compact and it’s easier to conceal but with diminished capacity.

Glad you found a gun you like.

I had one 20 years ago when it was the iwi baby eagle(i believe)... i agree with your assessment. I miss that gun often. Don't let her go!

what's new is old is new again!
History is a perfect circle. I'm just jumping on the new meta before it hits the mainstream.
We're doing tiny pistols with optics now so the next bit of groupthink will be that optics and small pistols aren't as good or as fast as steel on steel with rudimentary sights.
Kind of like how carry handles and vinyl records are back in again.

I distain polymer handguns. Give me a metal frame gun any day. My only concession to weight reductionis an aluminum frame, sometimes.

Back from cerakote. Another 200 rounds through it today with my first malfunction. Somehow got a live round caught by the slide halfway out of the ejection port. No idea how it happened and unable to duplicate it.
Tried out the big brother too. It's SAO, which is ok, but doesn't make the trigger any noticeably different from the "semi-compact" model. I find the larger version actually has a little more barrel flip. Just as accurate and easy to shoot though.

Should do some tuning to it. Stick the CGW hammer, sear, and trigger and it will feel great.

Every time I saw a Tanfoglio... it was on the podium.

I had a Tanfo .40 Limited Major gun. I loved it. Did a bit of work to it and it was like my fine Italian mistress.
But I stopped shooting Limited div and stopped loading .40 and just couldn't justify keeping it.

Like one of those amazing girls you had once and know you'll never see finer again, but still often sneaks into your mind. lol.
Every time I hear "tanfo" I can still see her in her sexy emerald green Unica grips.....ooooof.

They look as good as an Italian Mistress too!

I shot a few at some of our matches... Chikn, Apache, RedDawg all had them. Some of ya'll might know my weakest link is pistol; to be honest, I wanted one so bad but I deemed myself not worthy.
