Strange Walmart .22 ammo pricing

That is weird. I will say though that the post covid Automatch doesn't seem as accurate as the earlier stuff.

I was more stunned when the Remington Bucket 'O Golden Bullets appeared with a $98 price tag. Those were $63 in early 2020.

Off topic, the gentleman that runs the counter in Holly Springs. I swear it took him 15 mins to ring up one box of ammo. I considered offing myself right there at the counter...

Maybe this is an anti 2A tactic?
Yes and the only reason I never buy anything gun related at wally world is the time it takes to buy anything gun related at wally world.

Nope. Minimum wage = minimum effort. You know what happens to fast and efficient works at walmart/big box stores? They get more work put on them for the same pay while the lazys stand around in their phone.

I don’t think it’s actually possible to NOT get hired by WalMart. Saw one at ours awhile back wearing his vest backwards. Not inside out….backwards.

When the Bass Pro Store opened in Murder Beach they had those for $8.35 in a box of 500. Cousin Jerry and I bought so many we had to use 2 buggies and had to bring the truck to the buggy to get loaded. That's been alot of years ago and I shoot Alot of .22 ALOT! My recent inventory of Goldens showed I Still have Over 65,000......almost that many Federals....and 25,000 Mini Mags......I don't have any idea that I will ever shoot all the .22s I have on hand. Those Goldens that I hear folks complaining about, will function and shoot groups that are absolutely acceptable to this old man.
I too have been perfectly happy with them in multiple rifles and pistols.

That's the Walmart Tactical method.

I've occasionally used the house phone at the firearms desk (easy, since there's never anyone there) to ask for help.

I've always gotten a "wait, WHO IS THIS" from the store manager (his extension was conveniently listed on the phone itself) . "I'm TRYING to be a customer!" was my answer. This usually gets help back to sporting goods quickly.

I was hoping to be able to do a page from the sporting good counter but couldn't figure out how to make that work.

We have finally found someone WITHOUT rookie numbers. Impressive collection!

Reminds me of back when I worked local gun shows, we priced our stuff 50 to 75 dollars LOWER than nearly everyone else and we rarely sold anything. When jacked up the prices to 50 to 75 over, we made table rent but QUICK........

Strange world we live in......

Wal mart in New Bern will hold a mirror under the nose of applicants- if you breathe well enough to fog the mirror you are hired on the spot

You’ve been able to find someone to check you out at the ammo counter?
Amazing
Maybe I’ll try Walmart one more time

I solved the Walmart problem completely. Home Delivery. If they won’t deliver it, I won’t buy it. Unless a friend (and a damn close one) or relative is inside dying, I’ll never step foot in one again. There are other places to shop or I’ll do without.
