I picked up some of the Swiss P (RUAG) rounds when @RavenRocksPrecision posted them up. I bought a bunch, hoping that it would be my go-to accuracy round. I think I was right.

That was just from ladder loads, though OBT was on a node there as well. I'll tweak some with the jump for some fine tuning. Reading up on RUAG/SwissP, they claim several rounds all have similar characteristics, so I might go for the Styx round as well. This is out of the RPR in 308 using 3031, LC LR brass, and a basic 2.800 COAL, no crim.

Very happy with the round, and the price was amazing.

Nice stuff, I bought a thousand and will work up some eventually too. Still in the final phases of tweaking my main load with 175SMK.

What's your barrel length and velocity?

20". Velocity is lowish- 2630 or so. I would go for the higher node, but had concerns about a couple of cases. This is accurate enough that no need to push for now.

I've got 500 of those. Was planning to load both .308 and 7.5x55 swiss. Good to see they're a good component.

Thanks, I think you guys are going to see really good results out of these.

Unfortunately, once they are gone, they'll probably be gone for a while.

I doubled down and got more of the match, plus I got a few of the 'styx' which are 'soft target' bullets. Their loaded ammo claims to have the same POI between them and the match ammo, but that only shows it is possible, I'll have to do a new load. The thing I'm trying to figure out is if this soft target bullet is just an oversize varmint bullet or could it be used for hunting deer instead of the 2-legged intention. Watching that video above, it sounds like 'yes' to the latter. 16" of penetration in gel.
