One of our fellow members offered to thread several barrels for me and let me tell you... I’m thoroughly impressed!!!

@Bob Reynolds (Templar Custom in Apex, NC) has outdone himself here!! I sent 2 naked barrels and a barreled action to him for threading. Some highlights follow, but I strongly recommend him for anyone seeking top quality work performed very quickly!

Work performed:
Browning Buckmark - thread barrel, machine a custom thread protector and shift sight rearward
Ruger 10/22 - thread barrel and machine a custom thread protector
Savage 110 - thread barrel and machine a custom thread protector

Communication - phone calls and texts were responded to quickly and completely; updates we’re provided throughout the process with clear status of progress at each stage.

Work quality - top notch and above expectations without pushing for unnecessary work; thread protectors are seamless to the barrel.

Shipping - Fast shipping door to door. (Drop off and pick up would have been an option, if I had the time though.)

So what’s the best way to get up with him? I sent him a PM (conversation) and haven’t heard back...doesn’t look like he posts here much. My google-fu apparently isn’t working well either. I’ve got an AR barrel that I need rethreaded.

Got my 6.5 grendel barrel back today and all I can say is WOW to the whole experience! Great communication, super quick turnaround and great work! I’ll certainly not hesitate to contact Bob for future barrel work!

Do you work on single action revolvers at all? I've got a stainless Ruger Blackhawk that I want to have a take-off Super Blackhawk grip frame & hammer installed/fitted, along with a front sight blade (pin-in base).
 
The sight base yes but I'v noexperience with single action hammer fitting on revolvers; I have a colleague that may be able to help you with he hammer

Hammer should be a drop in, I'm just not familiar with s/a innards & not comfy with doing it myself. Same with grip frame, though it may need a touch of massaging with a file or stone to "flush up" the exterior surfaces.
