Welcome to my 9th grade year where we all took hunter safety in PE.
Here as well except the schools ag teacher set it up for all of his freshman classes. Complete with guns.

I think it's great.

Memphis would bitch if you hung them with a brand new rope. It's one of Tennessee's city to match the pits of San Francisco. The last requirement is the one libtards despise. They don't want " neutral viewpoints."

As it’s written, the legislation would require teaching public school students:

  • safe storage of firearms,
  • school safety relating to firearms,
  • how to avoid injury,
  • to never touch a firearm,
  • notify an adult if you a student finds a firearm,
  • and for educators to provide neutral viewpoints on political topics surrounding gun rights.

OK, my soapbox for today;)

That’s is good for families that own no guns. For those of us who do , your kids should be well versed in guns by the time they start school.
It might also help to take some of the mystique out of them too, so less likelihood of enticement to handle something taboo.

In 5th grade we had a week of day camp, where we went to a private cub scout like camp ground facility. One of the activities was target practice using .22 rifles.

I forget which year, but in middle school we also had a lengthy, several months, section on archery and another on fencing with swords.

Soooo....

Who's going to teach the teachers about firearm safety so they don't shoot their eye out while teaching students about firearm safety?

If only there were already preexisting programs that taught all that
maybe from some group that is set up to do exactly this sort of thing
if only...
but i'd bet they'd probably be all evil or something anyway.
