I seriously wonder what the actual percentage of shrink drugs are are involved.
I am starting to think it has less to do with mental illness and more to do with the drugs they prescribe for it.
This is a valid point. What needs to enter the discussion is how the enormous amount of pharmaceuticals and the liberal prescribing by Doctors have occurred from 1990 to 2017.
1. SSRI
2. Benzos
3. Opiates
Big Pharma has made a killing by selling products that were not needed and did it all under legal premise. Marketing Ads that we see everyday, that should be intended for prescribers, are shown to consumers that do not have the medical knowledge to diagnose, let alone say... hey that is for me!
Now... some of these prescriptions are legit. Most unfortunately, have not been needed, and have more created more borderline cases of acting out, or interactions that would cause less than exemplary societal behavior. Imagine what would happen if the Supply Chain for these drugs dried up suddenly? The severe withdrawl symptoms from these would devastate the citizenry.
$17Billion into WV for Opiods? That is more than the GDP of WV.... sheesh.
We are in the midst of the Tangent Graph of long term use.. meaning, we don't know what decades of prescribed use is going to have because there is no case study long enough for these drugs for long term exposure.
Now with that in mind consider:
A. Do you think the Congress, Insurance, Big Pharma is going to give up their Drug Money? HELL NO....
B. Do you think by labeling these events as Mental Illness will cause the Deep State to target those that take these medicines to choke off gun ownership? HELL YEAH they will.
C. Drugs is much more lobbying money than the NRA or guns ever will be... and they are able to control the populace with feel good medicine and de facto gun control.
Just a bit of thought....
