Trijicon's Q-LOC mount mount for a mini ACOG. 44-66 in./lbs is the max torque value. I apparently exceeded that with my hand. I'm almost as bad as PSA employees.
Full disclosure, I was using one of those silicon jar lid openers because of the sharp edges on the end of the nut you use to tighten it.
Mount is completely ruined. Had to order a replacement, went with the standard Colt thumb screw version this time.

That’s why I bought fixit sticks. I would monkey that shit until it broke too.

i have a bad habit of putting a small alan wrench through any of the ones that have a hole in them and cranking down. i know i probably should use less oogaboogas, but the caveman in me doesn't think in reason.

Guilty of that too. Hand tight plus just a little more. What's the worst that could happen right?

I sent a message to Trijicon CS explaining that I am a primate and not a man and it's my fault. Asked if I could get the threaded portion and the retaining bracket to fix the mount since the other parts are fine. We'll see what happens.

I was looking at it more closely today and as it turns out the threaded portion broke in several places. You have the piece stuck in the mount, the piece still attached to the adjustment knob, and a small piece that I haven't been able to find yet that was between the two.

That’s a hella lot of grip. Have you tried 65+ I’ll/lb with a torque screwdriver as a reference?

Hopefully they take care of you, but in my experience with Trijicon they were less than helpful when it comes to warranty work. Really put a bad taste in my mouth and I will likely never buy another product from them again.

That's what I've heard, so I guess we'll see. There was a recent post on Reddit where a brand new scope fogged up and Trijicon basically said "sorry, nothing we can (or will) do".

I swear by the LaRue mini ACOG mount, it's not inexpensive, but they'll never not replace if it fails
