Every now and then you see something you just have to take home, damn the torpedoes. I'm NOT a revolver guy, but have been thinking along those lines lately. Is it because I'm getting old? [Where's a tongue out simley when you need one?]
Anyway I've been thinking about something in stainless and wood just for an occasional plinker, looker, and fondler, lol. I like the idea of a single action rimfire 22lr/mag convertible, but anything in stainless is pretty high dollar or just didn't catch my fancy. Then I saw this little thing. I know it's more of a novelty than anything, but that's OK, I'll start small. Got a pretty good deal on it BNIB on Gunbroker. I'll post pics when it arrives but it's essentially this, the North American Arms 1860 Earl:
Single action, 4" octagonal barrel. It's not a replica but pays homage to the old black powder revolvers. The underlever just secures the pin that holds the cylinder in. Comes with both 22lr & magnum cylinders in a lockable metal case and there is an appropriately styled leather holster you can order for it. I'll probably only put nickle plated rounds in it, lol! Will be the perfect size for my grandson when he's about 6.
