El Cid and Planet of the Apes are two better Heston films in my opinion, but the ultimate epic will always be Spartacus.
As for the best movie ever made, The Magnificent Seven, hands down. And no, I don't care if its a Kurosawa knock off, I've seen 7 Samurai multiple times and it just ain't as good.

I like Wyatt Earp better.
I don't think we can be friends anymore.
I like the history aspect of Earps entire life vs the narrowed down tombstone part.
I like the Patriot a lot! But I didn't care for the OJW just more of a one liner movie instead of a really good movie.
