Wife started a free trial of Apple TV yesterday. Started the first episode of The Morning Show. I finished the chapter I was reading in a book and started watching. Next thing I know, we finished the 5th episode. Watching #6 tonight.

Anybody else watched it? Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell all flex some serious acting muscles on this one.

A lot of it (so far) centers around the #MeToo movement, but they really look at it from both sides. Very surprising some of the opposing views they dig into.

Lots of behind-the-scenes type stuff for a news show.

ETA: Ep 6 is focused on the CA wildfires

Finished the last two tonight. The last 25 minutes or so are the best of the whole season.

It is one of the best cast, best written and well acted TV shows I’ve ever seen.

It is excellent.


Although, it’s more of a mini-series than TV show.

Agreed on all points.

It’ll be interesting to see where Season 2 goes...

The wife and I just watched the first episode,while it wasn't my cup of tea, the wife says thanks.
Since I have to work today she plans to binge watch it the rest of of the afternoon.

The wife and I watched it when it was first released. They released the first two episodes initially and then one episode a week. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it was done. Yes, they definitely set the hook for next season with the end of the first!

Season 2 started last Friday. We’re gonna wait for Ted Lasso to end before we start back on this one.

I did see where Julianna Margulies joined the cast. Not sure if it’s an every-week role or not.

Finished up TL. Watched the first four episodes (that’s all that are out so far) of this today. It’s set just before the lockdowns started in 2020. S2:E1 is New Years Eve. Then we get to late Feb. Interesting to see the discussion about it know the writers already lived through that time. Such a great show…and still shocking that Hollywood allowed it to be released. Even more shocking was when I finally noticed Brian Stelter was one of the writers.

Yep, we watched the latest episode last night. Second season is missing something. Maybe there’re too many subplots, but it’s not keeping my attention the way the first season did.

Wife says nobody this season has any redeeming qualities. That’s the difference for her.
