Every time I hear that line, "...and thanks for all the fish.” I hear it in my now 28 year old son’s 14 year old voice. My kids would laugh so hard at that movie that it about made me pee my pants watching them watch that movie.

I handled a Garamd in a gun shop once. When I got home I was wearing white socks and a fishing vest. I dont own white socks or a fishing vest.

Couldn't tell if it made me a jackass, since I already was one.
 
Whenever someone pops in and acts like the forum didn’t exist until that moment, well it just never goes very well. Please new guys, before jumping into politics, social upheaval or conspiracy theories, try lurking for a few days and use the search function or just browse old threads and you’ll find that almost all the arguments that you think are new, the insights that you want to share, are almost certainly a rehash of a discussion that was had just last week. If you just spout off the folks on all sides of the debate will make fun of you.

Conversely, new guy can ask any gun related question and get a respectful response. I suggest that new guys start with guns, the main point of the forum, then maybe post in existing threads about politics and whatnot, and finally consider posting your own thread if you have something that’s not already being discussed.

Some of you new guys might be good additions, but it’s hard not to make fun of you if you come in hot.

And yes, I was once the FNG too.

I would say no...too obvious.

My thoughts is that he really was just a high strung and slightly mentally disabled wannabe alpha male who thought he could come in and educate us on the evils of the world because we were all too stupid to have any thoughts at all. When we decided we didnt want to play his games he showed his beta male side and threw a temper tantrum and took his ball home. A ball to a game no one had any desire to actually play with in the first place.
