This is horrible!

I have not shot any gun since June 28th!:(

I think that's the longest break since I started shooting about 2 years ago.
lol!!!

i’m with you. i’ve probably shot 2-3 times since the lockdown

plus i feel like my ammo stash is now a retirement plan...

I haven’t shot but a few rifles rounds since I beat the wizard Memorial Day weekend.

Guess what I’m doing first this Sunday....
attempting the wizard

Been a couple weeks for me. Even though i can shoot in my yard, i'm slowing down due to ammo costs. I've got a lot of fmj to go through, but the thought of replacing any of it right now is not a fun one.

June 27th for me. Longest drought in four years.
But I am enjoying the air conditioning.
I'm sort of loving the AC.
Mine is struggling a bit, but the good news is I've used less power this month than last July according to Duke Power.

Sorry to hear that Millie.

This time of the year the area behind the house is overrun with deer flies. The bites are terrible and when you wear deet they still fly around your head and find a place that i missed with the deet.

I shot ~75 rounds Monday evening. That was first time since early June (~100 rounds then). Previous to that was last November.

I haven't even done dry fire or iTarget since January.

My 1 month hiatus from work starts tomorrow. Maybe I can get back some of the lost skill over the next 3.5 weeks.

Not good. How do you stand it?
In that time I have four shotguns I have not fired, three rifles, and at least three pistols. All bought those two years. Skeet club bought out and closed. Rifle and pistol range sold which was my friend’s land. Local gun range shutdown for Covid19. Denver Defense closed forever just prior to that. Maybe in the fall.

Outside of killing the occasional copperheads in the yard/porch area, none.
Been taking it slowly in this heat but still getting barn related stuff done has been my priority.

I get to play a little on Wednesdays and Fridays and generally head up to the farm. I usually do a little discing of food plots of mowing of roads and then head to the range for a bit of shooting. I shot an M&P 10 at the steel hangers on Wednesday before the heat drove me back into the AC. I shot a 1911 at the falling plates for a little while today.

I've been twice since Cold Mtn Range reopened; before that, it was one shot at a turkey since December. I missed. :(

I’ve been introducing a friend/neighbor to guns. So I’ve about shot myself scared of running low on ammo. Kind of. Last outing we shot 150 rounds of 45acp, 200 rounds of 22lr and 300 of 9mm. He gave me some cash this time, but I still have to make a few replenishment orders. Cause now I have another friend that has requested some range time. First world problems.

CZfool68, funny you posted that. I mentioned to Barbara last night that I hope those 4 range trips that I donated last December wait awhile before they decided to cash in. Or they want to go when it is 97 degree and it gets too hot to stay very long

Other than some 308 ammo in the new Tikkas, I've been to the range once in the past few months to teach a new shooter. Blew through a little 223, some 9mm, 10mm, and 45...

I'm nervous to shoot too much but I really want to get some trigger time in...

I go early. Hit the range at 8 am and get out by 10-11 or so. It is empty and cool in the AM.

I think I've got enough to weather the storm (shortages) but I'm afraid to shoot much of it before election day. If things are really going to go south it won't be long after that.

I have been spending quite a lot of my time at home assembling components into fixed rounds and organizing stuff so I know where magazines and ammo are for firearms I might need in a hurry. I have also loaded about every magazine I have with the appropriate ammo. I have even loaded up some clips for Garands and for speed loading magazines.

Went to the range as a civilian about a week or so before Christmas.
Went Jan 26 in Texas on Uncle Sams dime.
Thats the last time I fired my weapon...and Im really hoping I dont need to fire my weapon again lol

On the flip, in that same time Ive shot three times, which is VERY unusual for me.

I also hope you don't need/have to...until you actually get to the range at home and actually want to go shooting!

Sounds familiar.

I'm not even going to count the guns I've bought in the last couple of years that I haven't fired, mostly from not having a good place to shoot. I have friends with land where I can shoot pistol and .22, but I won't do it without them with me, although they've told me it's OK as long as they know I'm there; and our schedules never seem to match up.

I was about to join DD when they closed, so I joined Blackstone instead, but that didn't work out.

Not only have I not been shooting, my "restructuring" plan has been severely impaired by current conditions, such that at this moment I do not even own a rifle for the first time in sixty years. Now that is horrible, @Millie !

Even I have a rifle. (Not bragging.)
Dad's .22 is here in the house, I just need to remember where it is. In the back of a closet is my guess.

sheesh man. you're not that far away, do you need to borrow one?

I think I have shot 4 or 5 times since COVID hit. Most of that in the past 6 weeks. 250-300 rounds a session would be my guess.
