Perception:
We rule with an iron fist.

Reality: We’re a bunch of really tired folks trying to follow the forum rules despite having full time jobs. It isn’t personal, just trying to do our best.

Complaint registered and duly noted.

Just a couple general thoughts:

1. no requirement to post in a thread here to leave feedback (yes, it does work that way on a lot of forums)
2. posting in a thread for an item that’s sold bumps it to the top which doesn’t do any good for that ad, or for all the others that get knocked down a notch yet are still available
3. see the first reply in the thread…nothing to get worked up over. It’s not personal, just administrative. Trying to keep available items at the top of the list.
4. We, as staff, do at least try to notify users when a post is deleted…to help pass along suggestions a to how to use the forum. The other option is we could delete your post, not check the box to notify and provide a reason, and just move along. But that doesn’t help reduce unnecessary posts in the future. So, back to #3…it’s nothing personal when it happens. Yours was one of dozens/hundreds of posts that will be edited/deleted today.
 
Hey it happens to all of us even the ones that have been here since day 1. As stated above its not personal and members IMHO shouldn't take it that way. I believe you will find the mods are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Thank You Mods for all your hard work. 👍

Well color me “another rule change that I wasn’t aware of.” This used to be a thing. In fact, for the rifle I just sold last week I told the guy as we were departing to go post in the thread so I could leave him feedback.

Now I’m an accessory to forum shenaniganry.

And this is why I’m not a mod. People would accuse us of not only uptight but also being a tyrannical forum. Using the strong arm of the mod police to take away their rights. Anyone who spends time in other threads besides BST, would quickly see the mods aren’t uptight and allow stuff other forums wouldn’t dream of. @HotSoup stick around, check out other threads. Our mods are the best the money we pay them can buy. We pride ourselves to be above other BST platforms. Seriously they are a bunch of good people doing a tough job for free.
