Been needing a new indoor workbench. Ive really missed having a place to work in the house. Built this for the man cave over the last few days. Everything but the main tabletop surface was old recycled lumber. Most of it was full of cut off screws and lag bolts. It took way to long to get it all cleaned up enough to use.

I didn't really have a particular plan in mind other than a few specific parameters for it to fit in the spot it was built for. I wanted it to be solid enough to hammer on without bouncing and would like to be able to mount a vise on it some day.

I think it turned out pretty good. The thing is a chonk. Super sturdy. Plenty of room to organize a nice pile of tools. It will take me a while to get it all set up with everything I want. For now I was able to get all of my knife sharpening stuff and gun related tools out of my closet. No more cleaning guns on the dining room table!

I'd really like to get a cute little vise for it.

I thought about polyurethane or some other kind of stain. Haven't decided yet. I might just put a piece of cardboard on there and replace it when it gets ratty. It's probably going to get pretty beat up either way.
