My son and I were there, we did not want to interrupt the good conversation going on. We will go again and introduce on next go around.

That’s a bummer…should’ve come over. I can guarantee there wasn’t a single conversation that didn’t deserve to be interrupted.

Also folks, it’s a chain type place, but City Bbq on lawndale drive has very good food. Be a good place to have a gathering

I’ll take city bbq any day.

Real bbq places have brisket, chicken, turkey, ribs, and sausage.
Places like country bbq have no flavor chopped pork, and half chickens with rubbery skin.

Only thing country bbq has going for it these days is the breakfast.

The only thing I order there for breakfast is their tenderloin biscuit. Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmmmmmmmmm
 
If you’ve never been to The Smoke Pit in Salisbury, it is worth a visit. Ribs are great. Brisket and burnt ends are delicious 😋.

There is a new City BBQ opening in High Point on Jan 9 (it’s next door to the Sheetz on Hwy 68) and I’m looking forward to it, this location is about 8-10 minutes from my office and it’ll be perfect for work day lunch breaks!!

I can go there for lunch also. 68 near Gallimore dairy is fair game
 
City bbq on 68 that @Lucky63 me ruined up thread we’re training yesterday when I passed by. Place smelled gUd
 
City bbq is blown out today. They opened Monday I think. First day out in this area this week. Not a space in the parking lot, inside and outside dining areas are packed.

better food than most of the “bbq” places in the area.

My last day with the City of Greensboro is gonna be March 7 it looks like. The rest of that week I’m not working (8-10). Let’s do lunch one of those days. Be the last one I get to do for awhile. I won’t be as mobile with my new job as I am now.
 
All joking aside, my normal days off work are Monday-Thursday, so that’d be perfect.
 
We had take out from there Friday. I'm not well versed in brisket, but it was pretty good. They also have brisket chili, which I have yet to try, but Im'ma gonna! Sadly, I can't do a Tuesday.
