My wife is a member here in Columbia. "The Well Armed Woman" is a shooting group/club that usually meets on the 3rd Saturday of every month at their home range.
A great group and my wife enjoys going. The first hour of the meeting is a different educational topic each month...emergency first aid, holsters, home defense, how to use and employ pepper spray, active shooter situations and so on. Then the ladies hit the range for the next hour or two and shoot.
The chapter my wife belongs to here in Columbia has several female NRA certified instructors that run it, shoot competitively, and encourage the other ladies to do the same. They are basically an all-female version of us but with more pink and purple attire at the firing line.
It's something else when I show up to shoot after the TWAW meeting is "supposed" to be over and my wife and 20-25 ladies are all at the pistol range. I just quietly tiptoe back to the trailer and wait.

I was mis-informed yet again.

Haha yep! Paraphrasing from the NY police commissioner "Without a national DB of concealed carry holders how would we know who has guns!" Huh ? Does he really think that because it's illegal that people aren't carrying guns around NYC today? Unlawful people are going to be unlawful and lawful people are going to be lawful.
I really try to resist all the conspiracy stuff but they can't all be that Dumb. There almost has to be an ulterior motive.
