Two Yotes Quick, and No Sights!

Wow, how did they not notice him that close?
The first arrow looks like it only penetrated a couple inches.
I have had a pair of yotes trot past me in woods no more than ten yards away like I wasn’t even there, and I was moving along a trail at a good pace, so it’s not like they didn’t see me. They crossed the trail again, ahead of me 20 yards later. They acted like the Borg, like they were completely indifferent to me. As if they never noticed me, (or the Glock I now had at low ready.)

I was the only human in Raven Rock state park at the time fairly early, so maybe they were used to people being in the park. It gets busy in there in good weather and on weekends.

I assume they don’t get shot at there as well. The bastages learn fast.

while turkey hunting, a coyote turned around 3 times
and laid down within 12 yards of my set-up.
guess my camo worked.
a long time ago, a fox did a similar thing
except he sat down and barked a few times.

Looks like he used the same arrow. Or that second one got a lot of junk on it from the quiver.
