Seems as if all these have fishy circumstances. This one says he was carrying in waistband (no mention whether holstered or not) went into the restroom and the gun miraculously and mysteriously fired without trigger manipulation or being dropped. Claims SIG sold many dangerous guns with flaws...I thought that was only when hit with a hammer or dropped... both in specific ways. Also, if a recall is posted, and you do get injured by a gun that you DIDN'T send in, still that reduce the chance of winning in a trial? The person filing the lawsuit also requested a jury trial. So many anti 2A people to pick for a jury, they can stack the deck.

Some tales write themselves, “Frankenberry was at the Dick Pond Road Chick-fil-A “
With a name like that he appeared to have been appendix carrying.

How could God let this happen in his house of chicken???
Frankenberry knew, “Thou shalt not bringeth a Sig into the House of Chicken”
He shoulda bought a Glock.

It is my understanding that there is no recall, rather a voluntary upgrade because it has to be manipulated or struck in such a very specific manner to cause it to fire unintentionally.

But if they are going off all by themselves, the next thing you know mine will be sneaking out of the gun safe at night and spend it's nights going around shooting bad guys.

That's a win all the way around.

Why do they all seem to be Sig 320's though? They are rare compared to Grocks. If it were all dumba$$e$, then should be millions of Grocks going off by themselves. There's probably 100 grocks for every 320.

Y'all need to trade these angry 320's in for a good gun, like that sweet Honor Defense.

That's one thing that sticks out to me... Not that common but pretty much the only gun we hear this about. I bet it more than 100-1 with Glocks too and probably 5000-1 or more, just other pistols. Yet every few days/weeks we hear about another Sign 320...

If you like to live dangerously: Sig 320 appendix carry.

God gave you two. You can afford to lose one....

No wonder you are able to keep that younger, good-lookin woman of yours... ;)

It's a Glock smear campaign. They're pissed because of how the military trials went..;)

Let's all stand, place your hands over your hearts, and repeat: Guns don't go off without being manipulated. Guns don't go off spontaneously. Guns don't go off by themselves. People cause NDs. People who have NDs will lie about what caused the ND.

In another thread it was argued that if the slide was slightly racked back while being holstered, the gun could fire later without FURTHER manipulation. But that is still caused by prior manipulation and operator error. If you carry IWB with an inadequate or no holster, and your fat ass or clothing causes the trigger to be pulled, the gun didn't go off by itself.

That's a win all the way around.

Fixed it to a solid win-win.

I’ve always thought the P320 is junk and it still is.

They literally piggybacked a striker design onto the DAO P250.

On a Glock, the trigger is only partially cocked. When you pull the trigger, it cocks the striker all the way and then releases it.

On the Sig, the striker is held fully rear. If something becomes misaligned, or jarred, you’re completely reliant on the safety mechanism to catch the striker before it hits the primer.

The gun is sketchy enough that I don’t ever want another.
