Using a car as cover - interesting videos

^ LOL @ self

I saw the thread title and thought immediately: "Oh, there's a Paul Harrell video on just that topic!!" So imagine my surprise ... heh

Youtube threw it into my recommends, I've not heard of the bloke before. I don't watch a lot of gunfight videos, mostly stuff where I can drool over old tech.

This one is pretty darned funny: . His deadpan delivery is frequently amusing.

Everyone has an opinion ... behind the engine and wheel is prime cover but more than a couple GySgts and MSgts preached if at all possible shoot around the front of the vehicle not over because you expose your entire head to those trying to blow it off where shooting around the front exposes half or less. Also people tend to be able to pick up things quicker that pop up over an object than around the end of one. Like all training ... look for the wise words but do not take it as gospel.

Yep, but it definitely went a long way to nullifying some of the Hollywood BS some folks probably don't even think about.

You and me both.

I like watching his videos. The one where he is in bed is comical but very informative

He fits the speak softly and carry a big stick motto. To me he seems like he would F#$k your world up without getting loud or breaking a sweat.

I've watched all his videos, he's a good presenter. He's a dental hygienist or assistant too. Believe it or not.

And if anyone says I bought a barn coat recently just because of Paul Harrell, I'll laugh in his face ... yeah, darned toot'n.

It's a nice coat! Jealous that it's cold and rainy all the time where he's at. Could definitely use that weather.

Was in the army or Marines, i can't remember which first ,got out of one and joined the other, as a firearm s instructor,
And if your google Fu is.good dig up the details on the shooting, he was involved in, interesting stuff. Or if you want to be lazy, theirs an old thread of mine floating around here somewhere that has the link to the shooting story imbeded in it

Bear in mind that while the engine/wheel position is best things don't always work out perfectly to be in the correct position at the right time. He has the luxury of being able to "place" his vehicle whereas a cop may not.... Sometimes angles are all you can get and angles are better than a 90 degree shot, which is sure to penetrate a door panel.

First time I've seen this guy but he has some good information and presents it well....

I enjoy watching his channel and the meat targets. Watch out for those Shasta soda jugs however

CD

That's sodaist. Shasta is only so likely to be arrested, charged or incarcerated because of sodaist cops.
