VA disability appeal

Don't delay. If you have service-connected disabilities and your condition worsens file for reconsideration. My dad did his initial va claim and then nothing for over 30 years. When he was wheelchair-bound and on oxygen from copd I finally got him to go in; they wanted to argue that how did he know it was service-connected
maybe he hurt himself over the past 30 years...

Some of his issues had been designated presumptive due to agent orange so those were taken care of. The others the VA dragged their feet until he passed.

If Uncle Sam broke it you need to stay on top of it to be compensated fairly.

They already have me scheduled for a hearing exam next week. They are moving fast on this. Don't know if that is a good sign, bad sign, or no sign!

The good thing is they rated your hearing loss as 0%; which means they accept it as service connected. If it gets worse you can always get another evaluation.

If they rate it above 0% that's a win, but they can't go backwards and say it's not service connected now.

Getting much out of a hearing claim is tough. I’m 50% hearing loss in both ears from my years in the Artillery and I think I ended up with a 10% rating and the offer of hearing aids.
