I get the impression many of you think other thread is a repost of that which happened in 2015.... this is happening AGAIN!! This time it seems to have traction too! See links below for CURRENT articles and the current bill (HB569).

HB569

current = Jan 2020

Yes... old thread is going around, but the original plans were stopped by laws that were passed. Those laws are in jeopardy of being overturned.

I'd suggest to anyone that travels to VA regularly to get a non resident permit. Its quite simple to do and cheap insurance. Yea,... I know we shouldn't have to and all that, but it's reality.

Since it keeps you legal to carry in NC, I generally carry my VA permit with me and only bust out the NC for purchases. If I lose my wallet, I have much less bullcrap to go through. Just an added perk.

I would love to see the statistics.

I want to know how many gun-related crimes were committed in VA last year...hell, ill give them 5 years of history....by active CCW holders with legally purchased weapons.

I would place my bets on less than 3. and those 3 are technicalities where the CCW committed a victimless crime like 'open carrying" or printing or some other idiosyncrasy of law particular to the state. MAYBE 1 legit crime in 5 years...maybe. the tax payers should be lvid at that kind of ROI. Anyone know how to access such info?

I feel personally attacked by your thread title. lol

These clowns just won't stop. I was talking to my wife tonight. The mistake they are making is thinking they can treat the rest of the state like they can the brainwashed folks in the cities. It's not going to work like that outside of the urban areas. We are getting ready to start planning a vacation to VA. If this goes through I'll fire off emails for good measure that we are canceling our plans.
