Video: deadly shootout in Brevard County Florida

Our justice system is F'd
Yeah, people can change, but if one has a violent repeated history...why let them out to do more harm till they, hopefully, show back up to court?

Pard, it's kinda like Big Pharma...no money to made made in a cure...the money is in the treatment.
Now with criminals, if they are in constant flux, everybody makes money in the system, if they're Inside ya gotta feed 'em.

I get so mad at dumb questions like why did you shoot him so many times. Because I didn't feel like poking him with a stick to see if he was going to shoot back again. You want to go check for me next time? If it's a good idea to shoot someone once, it's a better idea to shoot them 50 times

I wouldn't want to be in this position, but the deputy on the left here is shooting at the guy in the red shorts who ran away, and is probably 40 yards distant. Meanwhile the shooter is sneaking up behind him. Now all three of the non-deputies are Black and wearing black shirts, I get that. But that tactical error would have cost the deputy his life if the AR pistol the perp was using had been functioning about a second after this snip.

One condition of human nature is, once these people have committed a crime that they think they will get prison time for they feel that they can do whatever they want while they're free and the consequences won't be any worse.

They need to be disuaded of this.

This is why they need to put each in handcuffs like they do in Richland County SC on Live PD
Deputy lucky the shooter ran out of ammo.
They need to keep these violent felons in prison without parole.

Additional info on the dead shooter. I agree with the Sheriff, why was this man out on bond given his history and pending charges?

I'd like to see these felons on parole or on bond have GPS tracker attached to their ankle. Using current technology the officer(s) would know the guy in that back seat of the car is a violent felon before they start talking to him and take appropriate steps to reduce risk of getting killed.

My wife told me yesterday that a woman who was visiting the place my wife works had 3, yes 3, ankle monitors.
WTF...
A family friend with CCSO said it's probably from 3 different agencies.

You can never train enough, you can never anticipate what will happen, you can never trust another human, and you can never have enough ammo if you don't make the hits. I make poor hits when not under duress, so if stressed,I am certain that I would miss the majority of my aim points. I pray to never find out. I bet I am not the only person feeling this way.

Train more. Even if it's dry fire. I went to the range today for the first time in a year. I was still really good with the firearms I was already proficient with. Like riding a bike. The new stuff, not so much.
