waking up every morning

LOL - I've been pondering how to describe the times we live in,.... I now have my answer!

I just worked my 4th 12hr nightshift in a row.... I don't feel like it's groundhog day. I feel like Bill Murray.

Did that once 18 or 19 nights in a row, 12 hours at a time. After about 10 of them, we were all ready to kill each other

Years ago I worked at a factory that ran 24/7 with only 2 shifts. I worked 12 hrs a day M-F, and 10 hrs Sat-Sun, on night-shift.
I only lasted a couple of years at that pace. The pay was good. But, it destroyed my marriage. I should have quit sooner.

Had a gig in the Army where I worked 4 12s, 4 on & 4 off. I was ready for a long weekend after 4 12s, but the 4 off was totally worth it.

I'm a 2nd shift kinda person, while the missus is not. I've got a sweet gig now though, where I work 30 hours, 3 days/week, which includes every weekend, but I get paid for 40 hours with a 10% shift differential & get 4 days off a week.

No, not Ground Hog Day, because he got to change things for the better. More like Nightmare on Elm St.
