We went to the range today and I took 2 20 rnd mags. One a Colt, the other ASC

With the Colt the bolt didn't lock back on last round, with the ASC it did.

I ran several tests and it definitely was a mag problem. To me it feels like spring pressure is greater with the ASC.

This is a first for me, so I'm going to order a couple of spare springs for 20 rnd mags

Possibly an issue with the magazine follower? You could try swapping the follower from the known-good mag into the Colt mag and see if the problem persists.

Could be this too.

What color follower?

What does Barrack have to do with it?

The follower in the colt is Grey

I just had the opportunity to feel the spring tension in both, in a more controlled environment.

The colt spring is definitely weaker.

ETA: As for swapping followers, I could do that when I have a bit more time

Update: I haven't had time to work on the above problem but I wanted to say that these are 10 rnd mags, not 20

For what it's worth
