Severe weather needs to be respected, and actual (factual) warnings need to be headed.
If you get your weather from your local Sinclair Broadcasting owned station, they have been mandated by Sinclair to over hype dangerous weather with their "Weather Warn" days, or "Code Red" days. Weather casters in some markets have been fired for down playing the hype.
My local Sinclair station, WLOS, started the hype a day or two ago.... we had 0.04 inches of rain and a maximum wind of 11 MPH (according to my weather station) and a pretty nice day, yet they stuck to the Weather Warn hype even with the 6 PM weather.
The following stations in NC, are own by Sinclair... WMYV, WXLV, WYDO, WCTI, WMYA, WLOS, WRDC, and WLFL
