The one that I bought from a pawn shop had a drywall screw holding the grips on. I think @BatteryOaksBilly may have it laying around somewhere if you want to use it.

Yeah, maybe Mammoth Ivory?............... and don't forget you will need a proper carry rig for that too........... That's not like a common plastic gun........... that thing deserves something "Classy"...............

I'm not sure what I want in grip material.
Thinking ivory, bone or antler, need to research and look at photos of nickel SAAs with different ones.
Your Mammoth tooth grips are fantastic looking.

When Bat Masterson ordered his gun from the factory he ordered the exact configuration as you have there, grips and all.

The first rubberized grips were called gutta percha.
gutta percha, same as original golf balls

Here you see my nickel guns sporting giraffe bone. They were made from a giraffe I shot some years ago. SAA are very difficult to fit grips to, for custom grips like the bone or Mammoth ivory, you pretty much need to send your gun to the grip maker.

Nice! Go big or go home!

I kinda like those grips as they are, personally.

Got ammo? I might be able to dig up a box of cowboy loads to get you started if you can't find any. And I'm starting to reload for it again.

I've got some ammo, but always looking for more.
I need to start reloading again, especially for 45 Colt, got 4 guns in that now.

Well, it's mine all mine.
Now the search is on for some nice grips.
I have a western holster setup, nothing fancy just black leather.
Call and speak to Emily at Nutmeg Sports. Her father was Colt Custom Shop Supervisor for many years. They have done a foot tub full of guns for me. Just Google Nutmeg Sports....sit down....d r o o l 1111
