What are you drinking?

I'm having some more of the William Wolf pecan bourbon.

This time I let it breath for about 30 minutes first. It intensified the flavors, especially the sweetness. This is how I'll be having it from now on!

Tried something new. I'm not usually a big fan of most alcohol but this was nice to sip on. NC made too! The spice is very forward and leaves with a nice honey after taste. I didn't notice a heavy burn that I would usually expect from a distilled product. It's definitely a sweet one making it easy to drink.

IMG_1111.jpegIt’s that time of year. Wife’s having hers with 2A, using Rye in mine.

Wife also went to ABC and saw the prices on decent bourbons. 😵‍💫 She said we need to talk…

I forgot I had a little splash of this left hiding on the barcart.... we'll call it a Christmas miracle 😅

Learned to drink Brandy over the holidays. Start with a small sip and gradually build from there. Lots of flavors. Now, does anyone have any recommendations on a good brandy? I was sipping the wife's cooking brandy. 🤣 A VS grade.

My dad always drank Remy VSOP, had a glass Christmas Eve. It’s pretty tasty.

I'm usually not a big store bought liquor guy. And mostly just drink beer. But I was gifted a bottle of CatDaddy "moonshine" from the ABC store. I took a swig of it and not a big fan now I'm asking you professionals what would be a good mix for this stuff cause I hate to waste anything. It has a little bit of a bad rum taste with some vanilla notes. It most definitely is not any sort of semi good moonshine.

I'd just experiment with using it for various mixed drinks. Try it in an Old Fashioned, then a Manhattan, then a sour, then with a soda, etc. If you find something you like while doing so, stick with it.
