What are you going to do/have done with your stimulus check?

I just bought a 3D printer

I owned a 67 SG once. It was the only guitar authorized to cover ACDC

Well an edit to my plan..
I bought a new wed eater, mower...

then the storm last night knocked down a tree, not fully but enough that I’ll need to pay a tree service to remove it
As it’s over my fence onto my neighbors screens patio

Thin maple necks were most of the appeal for me. Buddy had an SG though, and that thing was made for metal.
I do love me a fat V neck Esquire with a hot and nasty pickup, as well

Where at?
Hey Day guitars. 414 Brookstown Ave, just on the outskirts of downtown Winston. Tell 'em Buddha sent ya.

Started paying off certain outstanding bills like the kitchen appliances that were on interest free terms.

I did buy two things for myself...
  1. Two new rear shocks for the truck.
  2. A nice garage fan so I don't sweat my butt off too much this summer.

Thanks. Had a goodly number of Les Pauls in my playing days, though I'd gravitated more toward Flying Vs & Explorers toward the end.
I never really "gee-ha'd" with the layout of Explore's, but I had an Epi '58 V that's was balls out brutal! Natural Korina, should have kept that thing. As you can probably tell, I do love me SG's.

Nah. I was friends with Terry for years, but never worked for him. We'd discussed it as a post Army retirement gig, but the economy took a dump & the market for boutique guitars dried up.

I've got 2 beautiful Flying Vs that've been half done for over a dozen years. One 2-piece ribbon black korina with korina neck & cocobolo board & one 1-piece ribbon mahogany (same board as my "Red Special") with mahogany neck & macassar ebony board. Both with 5 ply body binding, 3 ply headstock binding, bound fretboards, etc. Bodies need routed for pickups & controls & the neck mortises cut. Intent was to do them up as "Flying V Customs" ala. LPCs, the korina as a "'58" with warmish PAF types & the mahogany with a trem & smoking hot ceramic pickups for a metal monster.

I torn between donating mine to Cooper or Biden, Win/Win either way. If I ever get one that is.

So true to my word, I decided to pass on "that log" as @premise so eloquently put it. But my wonderful wife that puts up with all my bullshit, and my son that is eons ahead of me in intelligence that also puts up with my bullshit gave me an early fathers day gift!!! I've spent the evening with her and a half bottle of Eagle Rare getting acquainted. This was a wonderful end to a pretty shitty couple of weeks!paul.jpg

Did you serenade her with some Thin Lizzie and ZZ Top riffs?

Straight to savings as we wait for birth of baby bills come in. If anything is left, it will go to paying off a remodeling loan with an interest free term well before the "you owe us back interest date."

I really wanted a man-shed, but that is definitely being pushed back.

10 years ago, it would have gone into the boat or gun stuff.

Replace the belts and hoses on a 6 yr old ride w/120k on it. :(

I expect "they" will have us back in the office full time in another month or so and it's back to 80 a day commute so I need to keep it reliable.

"Stimulus" my wrinkly cranky old guy hiney. o_O

Wrong belts and hoses for that.

Still sitting in savings. Hoping it can stay there.Summer care for 2 kids ain't cheap.
