Good to know! I just bought a box of 77gr Nosler Custom Competition and a box of 77gr SMK last week. Haven't had a chance to load either of them up yet but definitely looking forward to seeing how they perform!Haha! I tumble it with about a tablespoon of NuFinish in fine corncob just until the annealing starts to disappear. About 45 min.
It's Nosler 77gr OTM Comp bullets. The new Nosler stuff is as good as SMK imo.
And Shooter's Pro Shop (Nosler's online dump site) runs them on sale time-to-time at about ½ the price of SMK.

Feel free to send some load data my way if you want, I won't mind!
I think we need a .223 match loading thread with all the interest lately. Seems everyone is getting the long range/small hole bug. I for one wouldn't mind learning and sharing some groups.
NOTHING!!!!!
I've got nothing left to load. I have plenty of powder and cases but no bullets for fotay left. I'm contemplating buying a conversion for .223 but it's a little pricy for me since I don't shoot that much .223. If you like reloading, do not buy a 1050, it's eats all your components.
Holla at ya boy if you want some 200gr Bayou pills. I have a few cases sitting on the floor in my shop that I won't be needing for a while.NOTHING!!!!!

I'm pretty much a 180gr fan boy. The 190's and 200's seem to be very popular but I prefer them a little lighter. I appreciate the offer though!Holla at ya boy if you want some 200gr Bayou pills. I have a few cases sitting on the floor in my shop that I won't be needing for a while.
The Forster CoAx is an impressive machine to say the least.
Thanks for the heads up on the concentricity gauge. I will have to get one.If you do not already have one, get a concentricity gauge and the Co-Ax will really impress y0u with the reduction in run out. That is where it really shines. Of course that means making some practice ammo on the old equipment for comparison.
Have you tried that CFE yet? I have been using H335 and am looking to replace it with TAC or CFE.
NOTHING!!!!!

CFE didn't do very well at all for me til I got toward the top end of published data with 55s, haven't tried it with heavies, read many accounts of the same. Been sitting on some 77 Nos CCs for years, should load 'em but I never shoot rifle anymore. Varget, and RL15 were always top performers with heavier bullets. Thanks for the heads up on the concentricity gauge. I will have to get one.
I have loaded a few loads using CFE. It's good powder I'm sure, but so far I've had better results from Varget. I loaded some 77gr SMK and Nosler Custom Comp with CFE the other night and I'm not sure if it was the powder, me, or the gun but the results were less than impressive. I hope to have more time to play around in the reloading room tomorrow. I think the CFE will be fine, just need to find the sweet spot.
that's why you reduce by 10% and work up.Tried to load some 55 gr 223.... varget can says 27.5 gr. Guess what barely fits in the case? 27.5 gr of varget with no room for bullet!
