What is it with these guys?

If they make their anti-Trump statement now, when he loses in November maybe they won’t lose their jobs...

LOL I have no clue. It’s all just a big mad circus now.

“Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack jumped over the candlestick”; famous quote from the days of English religious strife, works just as well today. Come to think about it Shakespeare could have had great drama with the likes of Trump and Pelosi.

It's probably just wishful thinking on my part, but maybe they're afraid he actually intends to disengage us from foreign interventions if there is a Term 2.0?

Or that he brings Flynn back who knows all the dirty political tricks the Pentagon was up too. The whistleblower for the Office of Net Assessment was a friend of Flynn's and worked with him. There is a strong possibility that Trump got caught up in a plot to destroy Flynn, not the other way around.

if he's criticising the Commander in Chief
He is not -- at least in no way that is actionable. He is making a mealy-mouthed apology for himself, saying that he should not have been "politicizing the military".
Yep.
And he said it with a straight face.
Just another one of Hacks's "perfumed princes".

The Kenyan's senior officer purge is bearing fruit.

Can't bring Flynn back at that level, he lied to VP Pence, Flynn could return as an outside consultant.

Actually, it's looking like he didn't lie to Pence. IIRC he told Pence he didn't talk to the Russians about sanctions. And he didn't. He talked to them about their people getting kicked out of the US. Those are two separate issues from separate branches of Gov. The idea that he lied to Pence comes from him pleading guilty. Which he did to protect his son who the Gov was threatening to railroad too, and because he was broke. And using the Logan act is laughable. It's never been used before and is likely unconstitutional anyway. Plus talking to Russians about stuff like that was the job he was coming into, so talking to them was completely appropriate.

Pence is on record saying he would like to see Flynn back in the administration.

"I think Gen. Michael Flynn is an American patriot, he served this country with great distinction," Pence said in an excerpt of the interview. "And for my part, I'd be happy to see Michael Flynn again."

But since it's CNN, this gem is even better.

"In a 2017 telephone conversation before Trump took office, Flynn misled Pence over his conversations with the Russian ambassador to the US, in which the two discussed election-related sanctions imposed on Russia. After Flynn left the administration, Pence said he was "disappointed" by Flynn's actions and supported Trump's decision to ask for his resignation."

So, he talked to Kislyak about sanctions? That's odd. The FBI never asked a question about the sanctions. Never noted any response during the interview about sanctions. But they did talk to him about PNG'ing the Russian diplomats. Then they accused him of lying about sanctions they apparently never even discussed or bothered to notate. Because the sanctions and PNG were done separately, on different days, but different Gov agencies. And Flynn's conversation with Kislyak was about the PNG issue. BTW, Flynn new the FBI had his call, mentioned it to them in the interview, so why try to lie about anything?
