So I was tasked with cleaning up this lil Winchester bolt gun it was in really rough shape. Stock is busted and looks like someone epoxied it back together. So I sanded the stock down and used linseed oil on it. Cleaned the rust off the barrel best I could and cleaned the internals and got everything working smooth again. Bore/Rifling looks good for its age. I’m wondering if it’s lost all its value or not? When I get a chance I’ll make sure it shoots and I figure that will help if it’s got any value left.

You did a great job rescuing that thing . They shoot remarkably well. Good work!

I picked up my first bolt-action single-shot 22 over the weekend. Had it at the range the next day. Shooting it was a lot more enjoyable than I'd anticipated. Good work with the restoration!

I haven’t had a chance to shoot this one yet but I did cycle a few rounds through it and I feel confident it’s going to function well. Has good rifling in the barrel so it should be plenty accurate.
