This may not be the right place to post this and if so I apologize.

I wanted to see if any of you have had any recent issues with WWB. These pictures are from another member here who has had this same issue with a few different boxes. Additionally, one of my neighbors who I shoot with had this exact same problem. Just curious how wide spread this is. These are all their standard 9mm 115 grain FMJ target box and came from the factory this way not the result of a malfunction.

Thanks for your input.

I've seen enough QC problems in just a few boxes to turn me off of it. A couple rounds wouldn't chamber and one had a flipped primer.

I've never had issues with WWB ammo before, but I've known folks who have.

I have had issues with a bad batch of Winchester 22 magnum though. Several years ago, they sold a batch of 22 mag that was overcharged. I accidentally got a box of it. Pulled the trigger, and my .22 mag marlin sounded like an AR15, with nearly as much recoil. the ejected casing split completely down the side. Fired a 2nd round with the same results. Never fired another from that batch, and I've bought CCI 22 mag since.

at the same or less price point is Blazer brass, or American Eagle - both of which come from a quality ammo manufacturer.

With the rebate, American Eagle is stupid cheap.

Many look fine but won't chamber. A lot bad winny from multiple people and guns.

If you still have the box I strongly urge you to contact Winchester Ammo. I just had issues with some of their shotgun ammo. They sent me a mailer to send what I had left into them and some of the spent cases if they were relevant. Took me a couple of weeks but they said they were putting a check in the mail. Yeah, yeah, I know. The checks in the mail. No I won't tell anyone, etc., etc..

The member who had the issue played phone tag for a hour or so and gave up. I tweeted out an abbreviated version of this post and they replied with a claim form link that I forwarded along.

Sadly, too many instances like this of WWB have caused me to rank it just above "someone elses reloads" and just below "Tulammo that's been sitting outside in the rain for a month" on my list of choice ammos.

The ONLY factory bought ammo I've EVER had issues with is WWB. Last was feed issues with my FNP45. Upon close examination it turned out the bullets were inconsistently set at varying heights within the cartridges in a handful of rounds in a 50 round box. I shot what I could and vowed never to buy WWB again. Like Ikarus1 said, too many decent quality options available at competitive prices.

I used to keep a jar of those, only ever got them in the 9mm 115gr boxes.

We had one at our range that had the bullet seated backwards.

Never had a problem with it and sell dozens of boxes of the 9x19 every week.

Remington ammo has given me fits though.

Guy I shoot some matches at PHA with had mass OAL variances, a bullet without a jacket, one seated sideways or cleaved in half can't recall which in 40.

Next month 9mm more blatant WTF issues.
