I wonder how much longer we as a society are going to continue to place trans people on pedestals and proclaim them as heroic? Instead of calling a spade a spade and recognizing the vast majority of them to be mentally defective?

Did you notice that it was not called "a church in Houston" , "a Baptist/Methodist/Catholic/etc. church"? It's Joel Osteen's church. He's shyster and a crook.
 
Looks like a child custody case gone sideways. Waaaay sideways. Crazy woman (Moreno) with long history of mental illness and a pretty active criminal record. Ex husband is a convicted child molester doing time in Florida for failure to register as a sex offender. Ex mother-in-law (who is a Rabbi?) initiated court proceedings to gain full custody of Morenoā€™s child. Olsteenā€™s church had some involvement in testifying in the case and that is the likely which-a-why as to Moreno showing up with the gun.

Probably not a trans. Likely gave the arresting officer at some point in the past a false name and thatā€™s how ā€œJeffery Escalanteā€ came into existence.

Women are glorified chattal in Muslim countries, spousal rape is normal/legal, can't go anywhere without your male relative as a "supervisor"..

It sounds like the "Jeff" wasn't about being trans, but probably part of some identity-related crime/scam/avoiding the law.
She was also an anti-semite, probably due to her Ex and Ex's family.
I'm betting she was counting on her human shield. The last I heard, the kid isn't expected to survive.

I think pretty much any church needs to consider armed security and an active shooter plan, given all the mutilated weirdos blaming third parties for their mental illness.

lots of them have already quietly implemented security teams. if nothing else, somebody ducks out of service and watches an array of cameras for anything strange, and somebody else "greets" people as they come in.

Where are the husbands in that article? Where are the men in the neighborhood? You don't even have to threaten or go whoop someone's tail. But the threat of equal force being used is a big deterrent to someone who is mostly bullying. I wonder if some of the husbands walking around armed and making it clear you were not threatening their wives would have done anything in the neighborhood? Crazy can be crazy but not quite be stupid.

And with the state of our mental health system what did they really think the state was going to do?

Part of me believes that things like this are as hyped up as they are because they fit a larger narrative. "We knew about this dude years ago but we couldnt do anything at the time. Please please please pass red flag laws that let us disarm people easier!...I mean people like this easier. Not people like you...of course."

This would be my church. A security room is behind a locked door with cameras covering the whole church. You have greeters and church members on the security team that are all carrying. All entrances are watched and they have plans in place. I've thought about asking to join, but thanks to the "greatest economy ever", I'm spending less time at church and more time working more. :(

This would be my church. A security room is behind a locked door with cameras covering the whole church. You have greeters and church members on the security team that are all carrying. All entrances are watched and they have plans in place.

And school armed guards like prisons and locking up merchandise in stores.

Is it just me? Or do you see where this country is going to hell in a hand basket. Our children, grandchildren.

Few speak of it, but as you can see from the source of this archived video, clearly someone knows what they did.

Yes, so why would you not do something proactive to protect those you love or care about the most? The normalcy bias on the left is getting people killed. And their idiotic idea that people are mostly good and completely fixable is right behind that.

Best you can do is manage a problem. If the possibility of a mass shooting where you are exists then you manage that problem. How? By being ready to confront, repel, stop a mass shooting. You'll need guns for that.

Many people believe this is how it's supposed to go. All we can do is be ready.
The real interesting discussion is if we are supposed to go along with it and be martyrs, or if we are supposed to fight.
And no, i'm not the one who knows enough to lead a discussion or even one who claims to be a good churchgoing person.
