Woman graduates from Army sniper school

She went to the course right after boot and AIT ?
Good on her, but I’m smelling some PC here.

Right after basic is definitely odd, it said she was at Benning for 4 1/2 months which was more than likely 11B OSUT (One Station Unit Training). No AIT for 11B, basic and AIT are mashed into OSUT, hence why it's longer than regular basic. They didn't say what her MOS is either, typically only 11B and 19D get Sniper School slots.

Based off my experience with the NG you have to try out for the Sniper platoon, if you pass their selection then you get slotted for the actual Sniper course. I've never heard of anyone being offered a Sniper School slot at OSUT, Airborne yes but not Sniper.

I figure all the other Army Schools are graduating females so Sniper School wanted to be part of the "in" crowd.

If she did pass on her own merits and skill then rock on!
